The New York Times reports that 51% of people in seminary are women. I don’t have the exact numbers, but that certainly isn’t the case here at Southern Seminary. I would estimate that it is 75-80% male. Where are all the men in seminary? I guess they are here in Louisville.
Combine these stats about women at seminary with Dr. Mohler’s report on the absence of female pastors in moderate Baptist churches, and it leaves you wondering where all these women are going. Maybe Dr. Moore has the answer.
